Eric Stirgus is the education editor for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He leads a team of reporters who cover schools from prekindergarten through high school. The team also reports on higher education in Georgia. Eric joined the AJC in 2001. He has been a reporter who covered local government, politics, Gwinnett County's school system and higher education. Eric is originally from Brooklyn, N.Y. and has been a reporter at the New York Post and Tampa Bay Times. He is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists, Atlanta Association of Black Journalists and Education Writers Association.
